HOW TO PREP YOUR RIDE FOR A WAX OR SEALANT APPLICATION
STEP ONE
STRIP SHAMPOO- Jax Wax Strip Shampoo is expertly crafted to remove waxes, sealants, and other protective layers from your vehicle's paint, preparing it for new coatings or treatments.

Note: This Process can also be applied using a bucket wash method
STEP TWO
CLAY YOUR VEHICLE - Using a Clay Bar is one of the most simple and beneficial detailing processes you can do to improve your finish, whether it is a show car or a daily driver. The Clay will "pull" contamination from the paint without being as aggressive as using a buffer with polish or compounds.
HOW IT WORKS:
1. Liberally Lubricate a 2 x 2 area with our Jax Wax Body Shine ( Highly recommended to aid in lubrication to compliment clay)
2. Tear off a small piece of the clay bar and form into a flat "pancake" shape. By forming the clay into a pancake shape, this will allow you to have ample coverage on your clear coat to remove the contaminants.
Tip: The reason that you want to use just a piece of it is that if it hits the ground it will pick up contaminants such as dirt that could scratch your finish and best to throw away when this occurs.
3. Apply Minimal Pressure to the Clay Bar over the Work Area moving in a back and forth motion spraying ample amount of body shine to keep the 2 x 2 area well lubricated while the clay bar does it work!
Keep in mind: You will feel the clay grab to the surface in the beginning, this means that the contaminants are being removed as you work back and forth with your clay. Continue moving in your work area until you feel the clay glides freely.
4. Remove the Excess Lubricant by buffing off work area with a Clean Dry Microfiber Towel
5. Before moving to the next section, fold the piece of clay into itself to get to a fresh piece. Once the piece of clay becomes dirty after folding, throw it away and grab another chunk.
Repeat the above steps until the entire vehicle is clayed, ensuring to keep the surface well-lubricated at all times.
STEP THREE
APPLYING WAX - Keeping a coat of wax on your car will help prevent fading, discoloration, oxidation, and light scratches. A fresh coat of wax will have your car looking brand new. Wax polishes the clear coat and brings out the color and shine of the car while also adding durable protection.
HOW IT WORKS:
1.Shake wax well before using and occasionally during application.
2. Using a microfiber applicator apply the product in thin even layers one panel at a time.
Note:You aren't adding anymore protection, durability or shine by using more product. By applying the product thin, you avoid caking wax in the body seams and not wasting product.
3.Apply wax on entire vehicle at once. Allow wax to set and "haze" for 15-20 minutes.
Note: Because the product comes off so easy and without streaking or hazing, it is not necessary to do sections at a time.
4.Buff off wax using a double plush microfiber towel
To ensure maximum durability and bond time be sure to keep vehicle out of harsh elements such as rain, dust and debris for at least 12 hours.
